Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Sanford, NC. You will patrol and safeguard a cosmetics manufacturing site, maintaining a visible presence and documenting security activity while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts, with requirements including a high school diploma and background screen. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is needed for driving posts.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen if permitted by law; licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while following site security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly per site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols across production areas, warehouses, offices, and perimeters.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, document security-related activity, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and vendor entry activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
