Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time) for mobile site observation. As an unarmed guard, you will patrol a retail location, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff.

You will work part-time shifts with a flexible schedule, driving as needed and collaborating with a team dedicated to safety, integrity, and service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by following site policies and responding to incidents.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail location including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns with clear documentation.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow during normal operations and events.

What You’re Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, maintaining clear and accurate documentation of incidents and daily activities.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow during normal operations, special events, and emergency situations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
