Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Mobile Patrol Driver) in Shakopee, MN. You will drive to client sites, perform unarmed patrols, and provide excellent customer service while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with weekend shifts, opportunities to build experience across client locations, and a pathway to additional shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license and background check per policy.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles); drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while following site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized access or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations and notify the site contacts or responders.
• Prepare clear activity reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership, site personnel, and responding agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
