Allied Universal® is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Access Control in Shippingport, PA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and uphold a welcoming, secure environment on an industrial site.

The role offers a flexible schedule with day shifts, a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with location procedures.
• Control access for contractors, vendors, and deliveries at an active industrial construction environment, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and work areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
