Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and other authorized items entering designated logistics areas.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and access records, and direct individuals to loading/shipping or administrative areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and access points to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screener in Avenel, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 01:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and other authorized items entering designated logistics and distribution areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Verify credentials, maintain visitor and access records, and direct individuals to appropriate loading, shipping, receiving, or administrative areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
