Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer Entry Control in Eden, NC. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and deliver customer service to shoppers and staff.

Schedule includes Wednesday and Saturday nights; pay rate is $13.50 per hour. You will use access control systems, monitor cameras, and respond to incidents in collaboration with site contacts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, visitors, and team members. Using computer or tablet systems, you will document security-related incidents and communicate professionally while helping maintain an orderly environment. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail location clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the retail facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and maintaining visitor and contractor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access-control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report irregularities and escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, sales areas, stockrooms, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
