As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and assisting visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, use technology to document security-related activity, and help to deter incidents through a visible presence. Pay Rate: $17.65 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.


• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to access-control incidents, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.


• Assist with maintaining an orderly healthcare environment by directing visitors, supporting employee and contractor access needs, and documenting incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
