Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time) in Buffalo, NY. The officer will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding post orders and safety standards.

Minimum requirements include active DoD Secret clearance, high school diploma, and background/drug screening per policy. CPR/First Aid are preferred and a valid Guard Card or license is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns calmly and with clear reporting.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
