Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time at our Beltsville, MD location to protect clients across logistics and distribution sectors. You'll monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and support a secure environment while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers flexible daytime/evening shifts, with a pay rate of $17.46 per hour and a schedule that includes Thursday through Sunday overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service following site procedures and policies.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and documenting entries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, proactive manner while escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, loading areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized access.
• Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

• Maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, inspections, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
