Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in San Antonio, TX. You will protect clients across aerospace and defense sectors, provide excellent customer service, and support access control with a visible, proactive security presence.

Minimum requirements include an active DoD Secret Clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. A driving position requires driving eligibility and background checks per federal and state laws.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Guard card/license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate according to procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, hazards, and violations and report to site contacts.
• Support access-control by verifying credentials and documenting incidents.

You will conduct routine vehicle patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and work collaboratively with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for and report unusual activity, facility hazards, and security-related policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Support access-control procedures by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor awareness, and documenting security-related incidents and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
