Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Westlake, OH site. This role offers reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings.

Pay rate is $26.00 per hour. The position supports a part-time schedule with a base site assignment and potential to scale up to 40 hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Training programs specific to the security industry.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at the front desk of a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary access credentials, and directing guests according to site requirements.
• Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries, and maintain clear communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Observe front desk activity and adjacent entry areas, report unusual activity or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized access.

DayTimeMon09:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
