Qualifications

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Concealed Carry Patrol in Bronx, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $46.74 - $47.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat09:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of technology, media, and telecommunications facilities, including interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify credentials and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
