Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain entries and control movement of authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, and perimeter.
• Prepare clear reports and logs related to access activity and security concerns.

As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, maintain accurate access records, and provide exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control the movement of authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, buildings, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs related to access activity, incidents, patrols, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess EMT certification.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
