Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Rights Reviewer in Charlotte, NC to safeguard clients across commercial real estate and other sites. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, issue passes, and respond to security concerns with professionalism.

As a part-time role, you’ll build a flexible schedule and join a team that emphasizes service, integrity, and customer care.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial property, including building entrances, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report maintenance concerns, access-control equipment issues, suspicious activity, and other security-related conditions to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
