Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Access Control) in Rock Hill, SC. The role focuses on monitoring access points, verifying credentials, assisting visitors, and maintaining a secure environment at a healthcare location.

You will work a part-time schedule with early morning shifts, providing excellent customer service to patients, staff, and guests while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Tue: 05:30 AM - 09:30 AM
• Wed: 05:30 AM - 09:30 AM
• Thur: 05:30 AM - 09:30 AM
• Fri: 05:30 AM - 09:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the healthcare location by verifying credentials, directing visitors, maintaining visitor records, and following facility entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, and designated perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, reporting access-control issues, and communicating professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
