Allied Universal® is seeking a Part Time Access Control Security Officer in Denver, CO. You will guard retail/mall areas, monitor premises, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting access control and responding to alarms.

The role is part-time with a pay rate of $23.18 per hour. Scheduling includes evening and overnight shifts, and the team prides itself on care, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property conditions, and potential hazards, reporting concerns to site contacts.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property conditions, and potential hazards, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
