Job summary

NMPRC is seeking a Security Officer to protect facilities and ensure safety at the Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in St. Joseph, MO. The role covers rounds, monitoring entry controls, and responding to incidents during a 6:00am–6:00pm shift.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license. The State of Missouri offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Perform rounds to monitor assigned buildings and grounds.
• Follow prescribed routines in security operations and entry-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a timely and professional manner.
• Operate a motor vehicle for site patrols and mobility between buildings.

What you'll do:

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license.
• Ability to walk for long periods, both indoors and outdoors under varying work and climate conditions.
• Ability to follow a prescribed routine in making rounds to monitor assigned buildings and / or grounds.
• Knowledge of entry- control operations.
• Knowledge of the buildings and grounds patrolled, and rules and regulations pertaining to facility security requirements.
