Job summary

Justice Grown is seeking a part-time Security Officer to maintain a secure environment at our facilities. You will patrol, monitor systems, control access, and coordinate with local leadership and HR to address incidents.

This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. You will complete incident reports, assist with safety trainings, and help ensure a courteous, professional atmosphere for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education accepted.
• 5+ years of experience in Law Enforcement/Public Safety preferred.
• 3+ years experience in a similar role.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check under cannabis regulations.
• Positive and approachable attitude with strong interaction skills.
• Flexible to meet scheduling needs and respond to onsite incidents.

Responsibilities

• Secure premises by patrolling the facility and inspecting access points.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and respond to alarms.
• Maintain security systems and evaluate new equipment.
• Control entrance and departure of individuals per policies.
• Investigate irregular activity and report to Security Manager or police.
• Collaborate with leadership and HR on investigations.
• Prepare detailed incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Transport deliveries securely to authorized dispensaries and patients.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with state/local guidelines.
• Provide courteous, professional environment for staff and visitors.
• Remain neutral and avoid workplace conflicts; promote teamwork.
• Support emergency response efforts and authorities when needed.
• Perform other duties to meet goals and safety standards.
