Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Hauppauge, NY. This role offers flexible hours with anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts across sites.

You will monitor access, greet visitors, verify credentials, and direct guests while maintaining a safe, professional environment. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma and ability to pass a background check.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access to the property, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and direct guests.
• Manage the front desk, answer phones, maintain visitor logs, and issue temporary access credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following established procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity and security concerns to contacts.

As a Security Officer Mixed Use Building Control Access in Hauppauge, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 08:00 AM - 07:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols.
• Monitor access to the property, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials as required, and direct guests to appropriate offices or destinations.
• Manage the front desk, answer phones, maintain visitor logs, issue temporary access credentials, and communicate relevant information to building personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security‑related issues to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
