Allied Universal in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed Patrol, Customer Courtesy) to protect clients across healthcare and other sectors. You will provide a visible security presence, deliver excellent customer service, and respond to incidents following site protocols.

As a Part-Time Officer, you can build a flexible schedule using our Claim a Shift platform. The role requires compliance with licensing and background checks; a high school diploma is preferred,

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment; licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, behavioral concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
