Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Loop 197 S in Texas City, TX. You will protect client sites across manufacturing environments, manage entry points, verify access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

This full-time role requires a valid driver's license, TSA-issued TWIC, and comfort with security tech. You will join a dynamic team focused on integrity, safety, and responsive security operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles) and have a HS diploma or equivalent.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors per site procedures.
• Background check and drug screen as required by Allied Universal policies.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet and basic security tech is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial engineering location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and track visitor or contractor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate security-related concerns, unusual activity, and access issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
