Job summary

GardaWorld Security is seeking a Surveillance Security Officer in Reno, NV. You will monitor multiple screens, detect threats, and control access to facilities while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 1 year of experience, a PILB license, and a High School Diploma or GED. You must be 21+, organized, and capable of rapid response, with strong communication skills and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while controlling access by checking IDs and greeting visitors.
• Observe, survey, and report activity at the assigned location.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols during shifts.
• Read and write detailed incident and activity reports.
• Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Tell us about your strong observation skills with attention to detail.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as a security operations center, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Set schedule: Day/Swing Mix: 6am-2pm: Saturday & Sunday/2pm-10pm: Monday & Tuesday.

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Excellent customer service is always your top priority as you provide critical access control by checking identifications, greeting visitors, handling deliveries, and other front-end tasks.
• You observe, survey the area, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• You provide rapid response in critical situations.
• You conduct vital foot patrols, Interior/Exterior throughout your shift.
• You’re good with reading and writing detailed reports.
• You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations, and standards of the client.

Qualifications

• You have 1 year of experience in a fast paced, complex environment.
• Results and people oriented but can balance business considerations.
• You are highly organized.
• You have a current PILB in hand.
• You have a High School Diploma or GED
• You are at least 21 years of age.
• You have a stable progressive work history.
• You have Excellent communication skills.
• You excel with computers, laptops, phones, and other electronic tools.
• You are authorized to work in the U.S.
