Job summary

Allied Universal in Asbury Park, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Lobby Attendant to greet residents and visitors, monitor access, and respond to incidents with professionalism and care. This is a full-time front desk role at a shelter location, paying $19.00 per hour and requiring adherence to site procedures.

You will maintain front desk logs, document entries and incidents, and work as part of a reliable security team focused on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, assisting residents, guests, and staff, and supporting security-related protocols for the location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or sign-in information, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Maintain detailed front desk logs, incident reports, and shift activity records to support security-related operations and continuity between shifts.
• Observe activity in the lobby and other assigned entry areas, report unusual behavior and/or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional presence.

What You\'ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
