Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to patrol and protect its facilities and grounds across Harris County. You will help maintain safety and security at all locations and respond to crisis activations, assisting medical staff with restraint when required.

The role requires post-secondary diligence, strong communication, and the ability to operate CCTV, access control, and security systems. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training within 6 months.
• Texas Driver's License required.
• BLS from hospital-based AHA program required.
• Aggression Management certification or equivalent within 30 days; recertify if already held.
• TPSB III registration by Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days.
• One year of experience in security, criminal justice, military, healthcare, or related field.
• Strong verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and typing 20 WPM.
