Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Security Officer II to protect patients, staff and property at Baptist Medical Center South. You will patrol, respond to emergencies, assist visitors, and monitor CCTV to maintain a safe environment.

This full-time role operates on First Shift in a healthcare setting and requires disciplined, customer-focused service. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, POST/DD-214 preferred, firearms qualification annually, and a valid Alabama driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience preferred.
• POST certification or DD-214 required.
• Annual firearms qualification with a minimum score of 70% or higher.
• Valid Alabama Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the facility and surrounding grounds.
• Responds to emergencies and assists patients, employees, and visitors.
• Controls vehicular and foot traffic and operates CCTV systems.
• May have additional duties within scope of the role.
