Geisinger is seeking a Security Officer I to maintain safety and security across assigned areas at Geisinger Medical Center. The role involves routine patrols, access control, and responding to emergencies to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities include directing traffic, assisting with security escorts and deliveries, and participating in fire and safety drills. The position offers part-time hours, with night, weekend, and holiday rotation.
Responsible for maintaining safety and security for an assigned area. Maintains safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees; conducts routine patrols of assigned areas to keep property and persons free from risk; meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned area. Responds to emergencies, fire alarms, hazardous material incidents. Deals with conflict, confrontation, and stressful situations on a routine basis. Performs both foot patrol and vehicle patrol of facilities and grounds. Must be physically able to provide the essential services of the position.

Geisinger is proud to offer a Security Officer I a $16.24 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $2 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts!
Hours: Part Time, 20 hours per week, Nights Weekends and Holidays rotation
Required Experience: High School Diploma or GED and valid Driver's License
Preferred Experience: One (1) year of related experience
