Job summary

The Durst Organization is seeking a Security Officer to work closely with Security Team Leaders to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, tenants, and visitors. The role includes following procedures and reporting incidents as required.

Current pay rate is $22.20 per hour with overtime eligibility per the Local 32BJ Collective Bargaining Agreement; wages subject to withholdings. Position offers midweek days off and requires a NYS Security Guard License (8 & 16 hours).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal communication and safety-procedure knowledge.
• Ability to detect problems and report to appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive security measures and countermeasures.
• Adapt to changing needs of the Security Organization.
• Stand for prolonged periods and work in varying weather conditions.
