Job summary

Children's Mercy Hospital is seeking a Security Officer I to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years in security or related fields, and mandatory licenses within 14 days. It is a full-time, onsite position with 6:00pm-6:00am shifts.

Qualifications

• Employees must obtain Class A Unarmed Security License or equivalent within 14 days.
• Valid Class F Driver's License for Missouri residents and Class C (Non-Commercial) for Kansas residents and be insurable under the hospitals current insurance carrier requirement.

Responsibilities

• Control of pedestrian traffic at main entrances and triage.
• Control of motorized traffic.
• Respond to alarm calls and calls for assistance.
• Respond to alarm calls and calls for emergency or other assistance.

Education

Overview

The security officer has the responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and hospital personnel.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.05/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
