Job summary

Harris Health System seeks a dedicated security professional to patrol, protect, and secure our buildings and grounds across the Harris County network. You will help promote safety at all locations and respond to crisis activations to support rapid, effective security measures.

Responsibilities include managing access control, CCTV, and parking systems, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends, overtime, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support training within six months of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• TPSB III: Must be registered within 90 days of employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Patrol, protect, and secure Harris Health System buildings and grounds.
• Respond to crisis intervention activations and provide security for the area.
• Ensure access control and security system operation (CCTV, parking systems).
• Work schedule includes weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Maintain situational awareness and report safety concerns.

Job Summary

Responsible for patrolling, protecting, and securing of all Harris Health System’s buildings and grounds promoting safety and security at all locations. Responds to all crisis intervention team activations and assists by providing security for area.

Education

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Licenses & Certifications

Basic Life Support; training must be completed within six months of employment.

Valid Texas Driver’s License

TPSB III: Must be Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment.

Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/ Reports

Other Requirements: E-1 availability during disaster situations. Must be able to understand the English language and communicate it effectively in both verbal and written form.

Equipment Operated: PC based electronic access control, CCTV, and parking systems. Handheld Radio systems. Patrol vehicle.
