Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Behavioral Intervention in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a hospital location, helping to maintain a secure, welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related incidents, support access control, provide clear communication and customer service, and assist with sensitive situations as needed. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri12:00 AM - 06:00 AM Sat06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, visitor questions, and coordination with appropriate site personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures while helping maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be willing to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
