Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entryway Monitoring in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and supporting site operations with professional customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes familiarity with software applications, email communication, and data entry.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates must possess strong customer service skills. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing a positive customer experience.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by following established screening and access-control procedures for employees, delivery drivers, and vendors.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter, reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
