Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time in Minneapolis, MN. You will serve and safeguard clients in retail locations, monitor premises, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

You will communicate professionally, report observations, and respond to security concerns with integrity and teamwork. The role requires completing a background check, staying alert during day and evening shifts, and adhering to site policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and report relevant information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other policy violations.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing a visible presence, directing visitors as needed, and following established procedures for incidents and emergencies.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
