Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Independence, KY. You will provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees while patrolling logistics and distribution sites and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Pay is $18.22 per hour with a consistent schedule Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Allied Universal offers smart tools, career growth, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by following site procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and document activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate contacts.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift logs for leadership and site personnel.

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
