Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Route Driver) in Honolulu, HI to patrol a commercial real estate site, assist tenants and visitors, and deter unauthorized access while providing excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Training and certifications are available; applicants must meet licensing requirements and be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license per policy requirements.
  • Security license preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management while following procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, and common spaces to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
  • Complete daily activity reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Pre-Employment Requirement: Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site requirements.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and property representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
