Job summary

Allied Universal in Detroit, MI is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Facility Patrol to safeguard clients across commercial real estate sites.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the property in accordance with established visitor, contractor, and access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate contacts and document activities according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate written reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership, property representatives, and emergency responders as needed.
