Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Response) in San Francisco, CA. You will patrol shelter sites, provide courteous service to residents and staff, respond to alarms, and maintain a visible security presence.

Minimum requirements include 1+ year security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Licensing and alarm panel familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Response in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a supportive shelter location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide courteous customer service, communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and staff, and respond to alarms and other site needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, compassionate, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of shelter common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, facility concerns, and access-control issues.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify authorization as required, and maintain awareness of activity entering and leaving the facility.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
