Job summary

Allied Universal in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Security Officer for the second shift. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding site policies at a logistics location.

The role is full-time, with a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, at $18.00 per hour. Responsibilities include responding to incidents, reporting, and maintaining logs; candidates must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), have a HS diploma or equivalent, and be eligible

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and security-related concerns in a calm, structured manner.
• Conduct regular or random unarmed patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials, and document arrivals and departures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate concerns to site contacts and leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Coordination in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers; verify credentials and document arrivals, departures, and unusual observations.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
