Allied Universal in Southfield, MI is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Route Patrol Driver to protect tenants and properties, provide exceptional customer service, and deter incidents through visible presence.

This unarmed patrol role requires a valid driver's license, availability for a set evening schedule, and completion of background checks and drug screening as required by law; driving experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with property policies; report suspicious or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
