Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Residential Building Patrol in Staten Island, NY. You will serve and safeguard tenants and staff, conduct routine unarmed patrols, and maintain a welcoming environment across the property.

As a customer-focused security professional, you will report security concerns, assist with access control, and document shift activities. The schedule includes night and day shifts; background checks and drug screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel as required.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the property.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
