Allied Universal in Ellenwood, GA is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time patrol imaging role at a fast-paced distribution site. You will maintain a visible security presence, handle access verification, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service to clients and staff.

The position requires 1+ year of armed security-related experience and a high school diploma. Other requirements include background checks, drug screening, and standard licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the distribution location, including exterior, parking, trailer yards, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit activity and verify authorized access as per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, methodical manner and notify relevant contacts or emergency services.
• Document patrols and incidents in daily activity reports.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report suspicious activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.33 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including the building exterior, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and vehicles; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures and report irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, access-related activity, and other observations in accurate daily activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
