Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC. You will safeguard clients across industries, conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and deter incidents with a strong customer-service mindset.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and offers daytime/night shifts with a full-time schedule. You will engage in reporting, escalation, and collaboration with site leadership to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control Patrol Driver in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm systems, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while supporting a welcoming environment. A valid driver’s license is required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Complete detailed activity reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional, orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
