Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Security Officer for Hospital Support to safeguard patients, staff and visitors. This role focuses on unarmed patrols, access control, and delivering exceptional service in a healthcare setting.

As a full-time position, you will follow hospital procedures, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with site leadership. Competitive pay starts at $16.00 per hour and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and maintaining an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
