The position is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. Scheduling will be determined during onboarding, with shifts assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law, and unrelated criminal histories considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Response in Bradenton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related needs with professionalism, provide exceptional customer service and communication, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and escalating concerns as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions to support an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations.
• Be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
