Allied Universal in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Security Officer—Hospital Entry Security—to monitor and protect patients, visitors, and staff in a busy hospital environment. This full-time role covers night shifts, with a pay rate of $16.00/hour and a structured schedule.

You will perform unarmed patrols, control access points, respond to emergencies, and provide courteous, professional service while following site-specific policies.

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions, wayfinding, and adherence to site access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
