Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious behavior and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs for incidents and patrols.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Wed 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Thur 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Fri 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Sun 06:15 AM - 02:45 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas; report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
