Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Alarm Response) in Oakland, CA. You will monitor sites, deter security incidents, respond to alarms, and provide strong customer service to employees and visitors while following site procedures.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience, CPR/First Aid is preferred, and you must meet basic licensing and background requirements. The schedule includes evening shifts, and a path to career growth and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter boundaries and other assigned locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry; document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notifying appropriate contacts and responders as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and patrol documentation with relevant observations.

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
