Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Entry Screening Security Officer in South Bend, IN to serve clients across logistics and distribution locations.

You will monitor entry points, verify access, support visitor and vehicle procedures, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. This full-time role pays $17.22/hour with scheduled evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by performing site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and document access and incidents.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel; communicate access concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns with calm, effective problem-solving and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, loading areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site procedures; communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
