Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Security Officer to help safeguard guests, employees and assets across the hotel, casino, and surrounding areas. You will patrol on foot, by bicycle, or by vehicle and respond to incidents in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

The role requires age at least 21, physical stamina, and the ability to stand and walk for long periods. Prior casino security experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
• Physical requirements include lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending.
• Prior casino security experience preferred.
• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the Company.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

• Circulate through hotel, casino, and outdoor areas looking for disturbances, illegal activity, or safety hazards and take appropriate action.
• Patrol will require circulating on foot, and/or Company supplied bicycle and/or vehicle.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with all applicable laws and company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the security of all keys.
• Complete requisite paperwork related to shift activities.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Prior experience in casino security (or similar field) preferred.
• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Company and/or its insurers.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
