Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Driver Patrol Availability in Memphis, TN. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to emergencies across diverse client sites, with a focus on flexibility and reliability.

The role offers 30–40 hours per week with varied schedules and opportunities for advancement. Required: at least 1 year in security, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Branch Flex assignments require availability for varying shifts including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• A valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal policy.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling under Branch Flex.
• Willingness to travel required distances for Branch Flex.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Applicants subject to background investigation per applicable laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
