Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is hiring Security Officers in Michigan to protect client properties across various contracts. You will perform patrols, monitor access, provide professional customer service, and maintain a visible security presence.

No prior experience is required; we welcome veterans and those with related background. Wages are $17.00–$18.00/hour on 2nd/3rd shifts, weekends required, and this is non-armed security.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• 17(2). (Must also be at least 21 years old and be a Michigan CPL or LEOSA cardholder to perform armed security work).
• Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies.
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana).
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 8-12 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. (70 lbs. for armed work).
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away.
• Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments.
• Must be able to use a smart phone or computer to check emails and training.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Must be professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Observe and Report: Stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Security Officer: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas and check IDs.
• Safety Patrol: Ensure a safe environment and enforce site policies.
• Emergency Response: Be ready to assist in emergencies with CPR/First Aid/AED.
• Security Liaison: Communicate with client staff and keep the site supervisor updated.
• Other duties as assigned.
